Two naxalites arrested in Hanumantpur

Rayagada: Two naxalites were arrested from Hanumantpur forests in Muniguda area, about 70 km from here, the police said on Saturday.

The two, identified as Sunabansa Behera Majhi and Siba Mangilal, were arrested from dense forests late on Friday night during a combing operation, they said. Leaflets, literature and banners were recovered from the naxalites, who were entrusted with the task of coordinating between different naxal groups active in the area. They were wanted in connection with several offences, they said, adding one of them was involved in the murder of another ultra. – PTI
