Convocation of NIT held

Rourkela: As many as 519 students, including 178 post-graduates, were on Saturday conferred degrees in the 5th convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) here.

Nikhil Patra of the Electronics and Communication Department was awarded the best graduate gold medal, while Durga Digdarshini of the same department received the best post-graduate medal and Sidhartha Patnaik of the Mechanical Engineering Department was adjudged the best all-rounder of the outgoing batch of B.Tech. Chief guest K. Radhakrishnan, Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, asked young engineers to be target-oriented and make learning a continuous process. – PTI
