Kakinada: The Corporation Bank has introduced a new service M - Commerce – Corp Mobile Pay, an SMS based pay-by-mobile service which enables shopping on the Internet, tele-shopping and also transacting in over 3,000 merchant establishments including airlines, retail stores and restaurants. Bank Assistant General Manager M Narayana Bhat, who is on a visit to Kakinada on Friday, the Corporation Bank was the first one in the public sector that has on-line connectivity in all of its branches. Vijayawada zone which consists of nine coastal districts, has 38 branches and two extension counters and the bank is going to add another three branches shortly at Amalapuram, Gudlavalleru (Krishna district) and Aakiveedu (West Godavari). Mr. Bhat further said the bank was extending latest technology to the customers like Telebanking and Internet banking and also SMS banking and to cater to the needs of exporters, the bank has specialized branches in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. Bank managers K Nageswara Rao and TLA Prasad said insurance facility is being offered to the account-holders in addition to the regular services. They promised to render best services in future.
