KOCHI: Former judge of the Supreme Court V.R. Krishna Iyer said on Saturday that senior citizens in the State had a big role to play in redeeming the values that were being destroyed by the consumer culture. He was speaking at a conference organised by the senior citizens’ associations of Ernakulam district at Kandanad. This is for the first time that such a meeting is being held, said E.X. Joseph, president of Prateeksha at Udayamperoor. He said about 100 people participated in the meeting representing various senior citizens’ associations in the district.
