KOCHI: Minister for Home and Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan described the confrontation between some Navy personnel and the local police and the arrest of the Navy personnel on Friday as unfortunate. He said that steps would be taken to avoid such incidents in the future. The Minister was speaking to newsmen here on Saturday after launching an offshore sailing championship. The Minister also said that if specific instances of harassment of common people by the police were brought to his notice they would be looked into. — Staff Reporter
