MADURAI: A discussion on physics, chemistry and mathematics was organised here on Saturday for students, who had attended a mock test for the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) two weeks ago.

Around 50 engineering aspirants from different schools took part in the discussion organised jointly by The Hindu Education Plus and AIMS Education, Chennai.

Experts evaluated students’ performance in the mock test and apprised them of different techniques to fare better in the AIEEE.

Schoolteachers of physics, chemistry and mathematics attempted to thrash out problems and briefed the students on the steps to be adopted for successful appearance. According to S. Raja Prabhakaran, who coordinated the exercise for AIMS Education, such discussions would help the students in identifying and evaluating their strengths and weaknesses.

Since all the toppers emerged from Chennai, no prize distribution function was organised in Madurai, he said and added that arrangements had been made to publish the results on www.aimseducation.com in the evening of Saturday.

The AIEEE examination will be held in April.
