Companies contribute to welfare measures

Special Correspondent

KOCHI: Sobha Developers Ltd., a real estate company, has figured among the top 10 Indian companies to have contributed over Rs. 10 crore for corporate social responsibility during the previous financial year, says a press release from the company.

It is the only company from Kerala that has found a place in the list. Reliance Industries, Infosys, Suzlon, Hindalco, Jaiprakash Associates, Jindal Steel, Hindustan Petroloeum Corporation, Ambuja Cements and Grasim are the other companies to have contributed over Rs. 10 crore.

The corporate social responsibility arm of Sobha Developers, the Sri Kurumba Trust, has been taking up welfare activities in Vadekkencherry and Kizhekkencherry in Palakkad district for over a decade.
