NEW DELHI: Channel V will air a unique competition titled “Campus Star” beginning February. It will first select 25 deserving contestants from videos posted over the internet. Out of them, eight finalists will be chosen through a popular vote by students across the country. Over the next few weeks, Channel V will zero in on the finalists who will be representing their college in the programme. In the show, the final contestants will battle it out before a jury comprising a specialist judge as well as college students. ‘Good response’Announcing the launch here over the weekend, Amar K. Deb of Channel V said: “We want to provide viewers with content that appeals to them and increases interaction. We have always experimented with different kind of shows for the youth, whether it is a “V My India Report’ or “V On Campus’. Even for this show, we have received a great response from colleges across the country and are hoping to present India with the best among the lot.” About the hostsThe show will be hosted by Juhi and Neil. Described as a VJ who has a penchant for talking, Juhi is a 25-year-old Capricorn who studied in more than ten schools across the country.
