Tried and tested theme

Two to tango: Ravi Teja and Trisha

Film: Krishna…the power of Indrakeeladri

Cast: Ravi Teja, Trisha

Direction: V.V. Vinayak

Ravi Teja savours the role of vagabond once again and his delight in romancing or beating the baddies to pulp radiates from the screen reassuring movie buffs and himself that he can live up to the challenge of holding his ground against any star in the industry. ‘Krishna’ by V. V. Vinayak uses the tried and tested theme that is more often linked to Ravi Teja but scores here by giving it a refreshing treatment. He keeps the audience hooked to the last scene by interspersing the scenes with a right dose of comic relief and dishes out a winner. Trisha does her part well and generates a tangible chemistry as his romantic interest. The same is true of the film’s music and lengthy yet impressive screenplay.

The director keeps the story simple and light.

Full marks to the writers, their work is fool-proof with no loose ends, for blending the film with all emotions in the right proportion.
