The comedy festival is being held every year at Ravindra Bharathi in the memory of the late Telugu film director Jandhyala ever since his demise in 2001. It will coincide with the birth anniversary of the legendary film director which falls on January 14 and organised jointly by Jandhyala Chitra Mitra Mandali and Department of Culture “The response was overwhelming last year. Hence, we are introducing new concepts in this year’s festival,” A.V. Subrahmaniam, film actor and convenor of the festival said addressing a press meet on Saturday. ‘Kudi Edamaite’, which presents film songs in classical, pop, folk and dialectic renditions, and ‘Hasya Rasabhasa’, which involves participation from spectators, will be part of the festival.
