KOCHI: The Communist Party of India(Marxist) was spreading the message of violence and hatred, BJP’s All India secretary in charge of Kerala Balbir Poonj said. He was addressing party activists at the two-day State meet here on Saturday. CPI(M) activists were indulging in attacks in the party-ruled States. The Nandigram incidents exposed the intolerance of the party, he said. The people of Kerala were facing violence perpetrated by the CPI(M). The BJP had been taking note of it and the party would be with the people to get rid of the violence. He accused the CPI(M) of misusing the Hindu temples and properties and also condemned the alleged statement made by Pinarayi Vijayan against the church. Earlier, BJP president Rajnath Singhwas accorded a warm welcome by the party workers at the Nedumbasserry airport. Mr. Poonj , State General Secretary A.N. Radhakrishnan, the party’s national Council member K.R. Rajagopal, Yuva Morcha State secretary K.S. Rajesh, State vice-president V. Muralidharan, district president Nedumbasserry Ravi, N.P. Sankaran Kutty, M. Ashish, E.S. Purushothaman and other leaders were present. Mr. Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the State Council meet at the O.G. Thankappan Nagar at Marine Drive on Sunday morning. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will arrive here on Sunday.
