Excise official found dead

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kothandapani, 59, Additional Commissioner, Central Excise and Customs, and a native of Andhra Pradesh was found dead in his rented house in Vazhuthacaud on Saturday afternoon. The cause of his death was not immediately known. The Museum police have registered a case.

Selvamani, 35, a resident of Killippalam was admitted to a private hospital this afternoon after she sustained burns from a fire that broke out following an LPG cylinder leak in her house on Saturday afternoon.
