One killed in accident

VILLUPURAM: One person was killed in a road accident at Kenipattu, on the Tindivanam-Villupuram Highway, near here on Saturday.

Plice said a mini-van carrying reed mats, proceeding to Chennai from Vadugapatti, hit a lorry.

Cleaner C. Senthil (22) died on the spot, and driver R. Suresh (32) of Vadugapatti was seriously injured and admitted to hospital.

The accident held up traffic on the Tindivanam flyover and on the approach roads for 10 hours.
