Doctor with passion for art

His paintings cover nature, heritage and intricacies of life

HYDERABAD: An exhibition of collection of paintings titled ‘Srujana 2008’ by artist and Senior Medical Superintendent of South Central Railway (SCR) Dr. Prahlad was inaugurated on Saturday at State Art Gallery, Madhapur by Union Minister for State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi. The exhibition, of the artist-cum-doctor, showcases wide array of paintings in several mediums and styles including oil, water colour, fabric and Thanjavur style.

Dr. Prahlad covers nature, heritage and other intricacies of life true to their original form. A host of railway officials, including Chief Public Relations Officer Panabaka Krishnaiah, P. Vijay Kumar, Rana Pratap and M. Y. Kondalu were present. The exhibition, which will continue till January 20, is open for general public between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the gallery premises, a release from SCR said.
