Neeraj shines

Good knock by Neeraj Bisht (82 not out, 65b, 7x4) helped Don CC (Hyderabad) record a 53-run win over Vijay CC (Bidar) in the NTR Memorial Gold Cup invitation cricket tournament for juniors at Zaheerabad.

The final will be played on Sunday.

University of Madras recorded three wins in the league phase of the All India inter-university ball badminton tournament for women at JNTU College here on Saturday.

The Telangana Bodybuilding Association will organise selection trials for juniors, masters and physically challenged on January 16 at the Hanuman Vyayamshala (Sultan Bazaar) from 4 p.m.

The three-day match between Hyderabad and Goa in the South Zone under-13 cricket championship in Bangalore ended in a draw on Friday, according to information received here.

The scores: Goa 307 & 162 (Srinivas 40, V.L. Sashank three for 22, Chaitanya Reddy three for 35) drew with Hyderabad 207 & 215 for eight (Arun Deva 62, Rahul Singh 35).
