Silver for Satvik

BANGALORE: M. Satvik, a IV standard student of Poorna Prajna Education Centre, bagged a silver in the under-9 section of the Asian School chess championship held at Kandy, Sri Lanka, from January 3 to 10.

Satvik was also a member of the Indian National Schools team which won the gold in the team event.

Satvik who was unbeaten in the individual event, secured eight points out of a possible nine and he was held to two draws in the tournament.
