St. Antony’s boys win

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: St. Antony’s HS, Karakkamandapam won the team title in the boys’ section in the Thiruvananthapuram district inter-school carrom championship at the SBT Receration Club here on Sunday.

In the final, St. Antony’s HS, overcame Little Flower Convent, Vellayani 2-1.

M.S. Sarath (Little Flower) won the junior boys singles title with a 25-16 win over R.G.Kiran (Model HS) in the final.

Suraj K. Moorthy (FORT HS) won the sub-junior boys title after defeating M. Saran (St. Antony’s) 25-13 in the final.

Fighters scores win

Fighters CC defeated Chasers CC by 37 runs in the Thiruvananthapuram district ‘E’ division cricket league on Sunday.

The scores: Fighters CC 177 for nine in 30 overs bt Chasers 140 in 24 overs (Rajaneesh 51, Pramesh four for 36). Easy for KRC

Karamana Recreation Club ‘B’ crushed Kesavashire CC by 93 runs in the Canara Bank-TDCA ‘C’ division cricket league at the Medical College ground on Sunday.

The scores:

Karamana Recreation Club ‘B’ 243 for nine in 45 overs (Baiju 58, Ganesh 51, A.N.Karthik 41, S.Anil Kumar four for 50, Rajesh Babu four for 80) bt Kesvashire CC 150 in 31.5 oves (Nishad 36, Ram Kumar five for 34).

Shibin shines

An all-round performance by Shibin (56 not out & five for 42) enabled Civil Services XI to score a six wicket win over Omega CC in the Canara Bank-TDCA ‘D’ division cricket league here on Sunday.

The scores:

Omega CC 132 in 26.3 overs (Shibin five for 42, Jeevan three for 63) lost to Civil Services XI 133 for four in 30.5 overs (Shibin 56 no, Kannan 37, Sunil four for 51).
