“Hamsadhwani enjoys special place in cultural arena”

CHENNAI: Rich compliments were paid to Hamsadhwani and its founder-secretary R. Ramachandran at the inauguration of the organisation’s 18th Annual Music and Drama Festival here on Saturday. Inaugurating the festival, J. Radhakrishnan, Additional Secretary, Finance, praised the organisation, especially for giving young artists a chance to perform. He suggested that Hamsadhwani partner some organisations and help them in conducting such programmes in districts.
U.S. Consul-General David T. Hopper said after it was started in 1990, Hamsadhwani had grown into a renowned cultural institution and enjoyed a very special place in cultural arena. It held an NRI festival, too.
