Cornered:TRS district president M. Raghunandan Rao and party activists gheraoing Minister Mohammed Fariddudin in Medak on Sunday. Sangareddy: Three Ministers faced the ire of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti activists while they were trying to enter Medak district near Ramachandrapuram railway crossing on Sunday. While Minister for school education Damodar Rajnarsimha and Minister for BC Welfare Mukesh Goud refused to accept the demand of the activists to resign if the Centre announces Second Reorganization Commission for Telangana, Minister for Cooperation Mohammed Fariddudin accepted the proposal. The TRS activists under the leadership of district party president M. Raghunandan Rao demanded that the Ministers toe the line of Congress Working Committee member and Peddapalli MP G. Venkataswamy. However, Mr. Rajnarsimha said he would not resign as people have elected him to serve five years. Mr. Mukesh Goud pointed out that both the old men in the party -- Kaka and M. Satyanarayana Rao -- have been raking up the issue as they have nothing else to do. The police used mild force to disperse the activists and the Ministers then proceeded towards Narayankhed to attend a Government programme. Agrees to resignAfter few minutes, Mohammad Fariduddin was on his way to Narayankhed was also stopped at the railway crossing. Mr. Fariduddin agreed to resign if second SRC is formed but said there was no such proposal from the party high command. After the Minister’ convoy was allowed to leave, the Patancheru police arrested 50 TRS activists who were later released on personal bond. Later, talking to reporters Raghunandan Rao said Mr. Damodar Rajnarsimha would not be allowed to move freely in the district till he changes his stand on the SRC issue.
