SHIMLA: Himachal Chief Minster Prem Kumar Dhumal has said that the State government would simplify the application procedure for recruitments in different government departments. He revealed this while addressing a public meeting at Deot Sidh in Badsar Sub Division of Hamirpur district on Sunday. The Chief Minister said that the cumbersome application procedure for recruitments would be simplified and added that departments would accept the appplications on plain paper, self certified by the candidate and that no other document would be required to be submitted along with the application. He said that recruitment for Anganwari workers and helpers would also be carried out from among the deserving candidates of villages. He said that transparency would be maintained while carrying out recruitment by authorities and best efforts would be made to generate maximum employment avenues in Government and Public sectors. Employment and self-employment avenues would also be explored in private sector, he added. Mr. Dhumal said that State Government was paying Rs. 7.70 per unit as subsidy to domestic consumers of the State during winter season. He said that power generation during the winter season was less due to low water discharge in all the rivers. He said that efforts were afoot to purchase additional power to meet the increasing power demand of the domestic and industrial consumers.
