JAIPUR: Rajasthan Governor S.K. Singh on Sunday reviewed the preparations for the State-level Republic Day function to be held at Patel Maidan in Ajmer on January 26. Mr. Singh will be in Ajmer on January 25 and 26 to preside over the function. The Governor interacted with Divisional Commissioner Deepak Upreti, Inspector General of Police Hemant Purohit and senior district officers at the Central Reserve Police Force guest-house in Ajmer and asked them to show the State’s rich cultural heritage during the festivities. Mr. Singh was told that preparations for the Republic Day were in full swing and a number of development works had been launched in the town at a cost of crores of rupees. Urban Improvement Trust secretary Ambarish Kumar said the pilgrim city was being spruced up for the function. Mr. Singh will host an “at home” at the Baradari in Ajmer on January 25.
