Two-day workshop
The Indian Institute of Welding, in association with Indian Welding Society, the Indian Institute of Metals and the Welding Research Institute, will organise a two-day workshop on “Design of welded components against fatigue damage” at S.K. Mazumder Hall, Institutions building in BHEL Township here on January 17 and 18.
Prof. Ing. A. Hobbacher of Germany, who has served as chairman of various commissions of the International Institute of Welding, will be the faculty.
Issues such as failure modes, analysis of fatigue welded components, design codes along with case studies will be dealt. Practising engineers, researchers, students, academicians and other interested perosns can attend, a press release said.
