Simi Mehra triumphs

NEW DELHI: Simi Mehra shot the best round of the day, a four-over 76, for an aggregate of nine-over 225 to win the seventh leg of the DLF women’s Pro-golf tour at the Army Environmental Park and Training Area here.

Simi was nine strokes clear of the second-placed Nalini Singh (234), who shot 79 in the third and final to nudge ahead of the error-prone Irina Brar (239).

The scores: Smriti Mehra (71, 78, 76) 225; Nalini Singh (75, 80, 79) 234; Irina Brar (81, 76, 82) 239; Shalini Malik (88, 76, 84) 248; Saaniya Sharma (81, 86, 83) 250.
