Man arrested for alleged assault

NEW DELHI: A 56-year-old man running a primary school at Bhajanpura here was arrested by North East Delhi police on Saturday for allegedly making an attempt to criminally assault a minor girl. According to police, Chandra Ketu called a kindergarten girl to his room in the school premises on Friday and allegedly molested her. Later, the girl narrated the incident to her mother.

On Saturday, the girl’s parents as well as family members of other school children barged into the school and manhandled Ketu. They also vandalised the school’s property and then called up the police.

An attempt to criminally assault a minor girl has been registered.
