Man booked for making lewd calls

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A young man made over 430 calls to the Police Control Room in two days and allegedly misbehaved with the women staff. The accused has been arrested.

Trouble began for the women PCR staff on Thursday night when the man started calling them up and used vulgar language. He made 276 calls on Friday morning. Again on Saturday, he made 155 calls and case was registered at the Indraprastha Estate police station.

Subsequently the caller was traced and arrested on Sunday. During interrogation, he identified himself as Bhuvan Chandra Pandey (22), a resident of Karkardooma. He told the police that he belonged to Naintal and works as a security guard in a private security agency. He had also used his mobile phone to make lewd calls to the PCR. Bhuvan allegedly claimed that he made the calls just for fun.
