No breakthrough in murder case
NEW DELHI: The police have not made any breakthrough in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old woman in her Chittaranjan Park house here on Saturday.
The police are questioning the driver whom the victim Meera’s husband Naresh Mittal had hired about a week ago. They are also questioning those close to her to get a clue to the murder. The incident came to light when Mr. Mittal – who was away in Bhopal -- requested his relatives to check on Meera as she was not responding to his phone calls. When they entered the house, they found her body. She had been stabbed to death and the jewellery she wore was missing.
Other valuables kept in the house were found intact. “We are investigating all possible angles,” said a police officer.
