Thiruvananthapuram
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs.12.23 crore to the Thiruvananthapuram Development Authority (TRIDA) for the acquisition of land needed for the widening of roads under the Capital City Development Programme, according to Minister for Local Self-Government Paloli Mohammed Kutty. This is in addition to the Rs.64.76 crore released earlier. The Government has to acquire land needed for the development of 42 km of roads in the city. The Minister said 95 per cent of the land had already been acquired. He added that moves were on to acquire the remaining land. – Special Correspondent
