Celebrations
Competitions, debate, fun games and cultural programmes marked the Samathuva Pongal celebrations organised in Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Salem. The school conducted competitions including drawing and kolam for students. Students performed folk dances. Mayor J. Rekha Priyadarshini presided. Principal Brother Assis and teachers were present.
Exhibition
The science exhibition organised by Sri Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Rasipuram, has brought out the talents of students in science and technology. District Education Officer Jagannathan inaugurated the exhibition. Students displayed a large number of working models and charts on various concepts in science.
Models on power generation, geo thermal energy, wind energy and sewage treatment plant won visitors’ appreciation. The exhibition attracted over 5,000 students from various schools. School founder president R.M. Krishnan was present.
