Remove stray animals, says Collector

ARIYALUR: Ariyalur Collector V.M. Xavier Chrisso Nayagam has directed officials and elected representatives of local bodies to take steps to remove stray dogs and pigs roaming freely in public places in all the villages in the district with immediate effect.

The directive came during a review of the progress of development works under execution in all panchayat unions in the district. He urged the officials to speed up the ongoing works and complete the same as per schedule. Mr. Nayagam said he would be inspecting the development works regularly and any undue delay would not be tolerated.
