Youth urged to imbibe moral values

Belgaum: Social worker S.G. Hanji on Monday urged the youth to imbibe cultural and moral values.

He was speaking after inaugurating a three-day “Patriotic group song singing competition 2008” for school and college students here on Monday. Mr. Hanji said that parents should ensure that their children followed good cultural and moral values.

He stressed the need for inculcating patriotic values among children.

The singing competition is being organised in the city by M.R. Malgaonkar Shikshan Samiti.

The samiti has been organising the competition in memory of social worker and educationist M.R. Malgaonkar since 1990 with the objective of promoting cultural and moral values among the youth.

Samithi president R.D. Shanbag presided over the function.
