KOCHI: Congress leader K. Karunakaran has urged his followers and party workers to make the February 1 meeting to be held here to mark his return to the party a historic event. The 89-year-old leader was here to supervise the arrangements for the event, which has been billed as the ‘great unity meeting.’ He spoke for a couple of minutes at the meeting held to form a reception committee. The former Karunakaran faction leaders and activists said some two lakh people would turn up for the event.
