Illegal buildings: appellate panels constituted

HYDERABAD: The State Government has constituted appellate committees to examine cases of appeal by applicants aggrieved by orders passed by competent authority for regulation and penalisation of unauthorisedly constructed buildings and buildings constructed in deviation of the sanctioned plan and also regulation of unapproved and illegal layouts. Accordingly, for the jurisdiction of HUDA areas, the committee will have Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development as the chairperson, while the Visakhapatnam District Collector will be the chairperson for the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam Urban Development area.

VGTMUDA area

For the jurisdiction of Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority area, the Krishna District Collector will be the chairperson and Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration will head the appellate committee for the rest of the State.
