HASSAN: Deputy Commissioner K.H. Ashwathanarayana Gowda has appreciated the services of village assistants in the district and has asked them to work with greater zest. He was speaking at the district-level Gram Sahayak (village assistant) meeting here on Monday. On their demands for enhanced salaries and regularisation of services, Mr. Gowda said the decision had to be taken by the Government. He, however, promised that those demands that could be implemented by the district administration would be looked into at the earliest. General secretary of the State Revenue Department Employees Association D. Puttamadaiah was present.
