Calls for mass movement to achieve statehood UPA urged to introduce Telangana Bill in Parliament Sangareddy: Bharatiya Janata Party State president Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti has committed a historical blunder by accepting the formation of a second State Reorganisation Commission (SRC) sealing the fate of Telangana. Speaking to newsmen at Ismailkhanpet, Mr. Dattatreya wondered how the Congress and TRS could leave the decision to SRC while the mutual agreement recognised and honoured the verdict of the first SRC. The BJP president was here to launch the Telangana Kranti-Santakala Sankranti a signature campaign for separate State. Commenting on the ongoing resignation threats by both in TRS and Congress, Dattareya called for building a mass movement to achieve Telangana. Demand for BillDattatreya demanded that the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre introduce the Telangana Bill in the ensuing Budget session of the Parliament. He said that the State BJP leaders would urge the National council expected to meet anytime at Delhi to take up the issue and force the government to follow suit. He said it’s high time that the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi comes out with her opinion on the burning issue. Earlier, Dattatreya participated in the signature campaign in the village and visited the famous Sapthaprakarautha Durga Bhavani temple and offered prayers. The signatures collected from all over the region would be taken to Delhi in February to be submitted to the President. Former MLA K. Satyanarayana and BJP Dalit Morcha State secretary Jagan were also present at the campaign.
