Gorakhpur: Three persons were arrested with a mixed-metal idol worth Rs 10 crore from Sihapar railway crossing on Gorakhpur-Lucknow highway, police said on Monday. The two feet high idol of ’Ram-Sita’ weighing about 11 kg was recovered from three persons as they tried to escape during a regular vehicle check at Sihapar railway crossing on Saturday, SSP K. Satyanaraina said. The accused have been identified as Lallu Singh, Himanshu Shekhar Singh and Surendra Prasad, he added.
