Court dismisses petition

Udupi: The court of the Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division) dismissed the petition seeking injunction on the ascension of Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji to the Paryaya Peetha and consequent worship of Lord Krishna at the Sri Krishna Math/Temple, here on Monday. Advocate for the swamiji said the court had said that the plaintiffs had no locus standi. The plaintiffs had approached the court at the eleventh hour whereas the preparations for the paryaya had begun a year ago. None from the Ashta Maths had approached the court with regard to this issue.
