‘Mulayam should approach Sonia directly’

Pratapgarh: A day after Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav sought Congress’ support to fight the ruling BSP, senior Congress leader Pramod Tewari on Monday asked him to approach president Sonia Gandhi for the same instead of issuing statements in the media.

‘SP designs’

“Though Congress is well aware of SP chief’s designs...If Yadav is really serious in getting the support of the party in fighting the ruling dispensation on public issues, he should approach Congress president Sonia Gandhi instead of going in the media,” Mr. Tewari told newspersons here.

Whenever the Congress had helped him in the past he had worked against the party. But history notwithstanding he is free to approach the Congress chief directly, the Congress legislature party leader said. PTI
