Awareness on traffic
The students of primary classes at the National Model Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Peelamedu, were taken for a visit to the Traffic Park on PRS Ground. The aim of the programme was to create awareness on traffic rules among children. The school also recently celebrated Pongal. The students and staff members came dressed in traditional costumes and took part in festivities.
National Birds Day
National Birds Day was celebrated at Mahathmaa Gandhi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sirumugai. Jointly organised by the school’s Green Journey Nature Club, World Wide Fund for Nature and Foris Nature Club, the programme included drawing competitions and an address on the ‘Significance of Birds.’
Tiny Tots’ Day
Century Foundation Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tirupur, celebrated ‘Tiny Tots’ Day.’ The theme selected for the celebration was ‘Conservation of Nature.’ The children dressed up as tribals, animals and trees and performed action songs, skits and dances. All the students were given prizes. .
