MANGALORE: ‘Kalyanamayi’, a wing of the wives of employees of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at Bajpe Airport, distributed “yellu-bella” among the AAI staff at the airport and the employees’ colony at Bajpe on Monday on the occasion of “Makara Sankranti.” Members of the wing, led by its president Nagaratna, visited the houses of employees and greeted their family. In the city, “Makara Sankranti” appeared to be low key on Monday. Some private organisations and educational institutions had declared holiday on Monday.
