Chhattisgarh CM to address BJP rally

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh will address a public meeting at Devarakonda at the conclusion of BJP’s signature campaign for separate Telangana in Nalgonda district on January 20.

Mr. Singh will be accompanied by former BJP president M. Venkaiah Naidu, said N. Indrasena Reddy who is leading the campaign.

Mr. Reddy spoke to reporters here on Monday during a three-day break to the campaign on account of Sankranti. He said the yatra that visited 180 villages so far evoked good response from public. People volunteered to affix signatures irrespective of their party affiliations.

The BJP leader criticised Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for not keeping promises that the latter made to the district in his 25 visits there so far.

There was no development at the site where he laid foundation stone for a government medical college at Bibinagar. A similar medical college in Kadapa which was taken up around the same time had made significant progress. It had also commenced its classroom lectures, he observed.
