Back on Congress panel

NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh is back in the high-profile Congress “Group on Future Challenges,” which has Rahul Gandhi as a prominent member.

Mr. Ramesh, who was earlier convener of the group, attended its fourth meeting here on Monday. He was dropped after the first meeting without any official explanation. “The group is reconstituted. Mr. Ramesh is included as a member,” said its chairman Veerappa Moily.

He said the group discussed the strategy for Assembly elections as well as a roadmap for intra-party reforms and capacity building.
