A simple birthday for Mayawati

NEW DELHI: It will be just another day on Tuesday, her 52nd birthday, for BSP president and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.

There will be no ostentatious display of gifts or celebrations. In Lucknow, Ms. Mayawati will launch her government’s Rs. 30,000-crore “Ganga Expressway Project.” It will link Greater Noida to Balia in Eastern Uttar Pradesh through a 1,040-km expressway along the river.

In Delhi, she will release the third volume of her book on the BSP movement.
