Boy drowns

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Gurudutt (14), a Class VIII student, drowned in the Hebbal Lake on Saturday. The Fire and Emergency Services personnel removed the body from the lake on Monday.

The police said Gurudutt’s father, Venkatesh, a resident of Ashwathnagar, lodged a complaint with the Sanjaynagar police on Saturday saying that his son was missing. When the police questioned some of Gurudutt’s friends on Sunday, they told the police that he drowned in the lake when they had gone there for a swim on Saturday.

As the boys were scared, they did not inform their elders or the boy’s parents.
