Bangalore: Okay, the contestants vying for the fashion honours may not have had a hotline to Armani but they did draw some delighted whoops and eyeballs. The Siddhivinayak Temple Grounds at Basavanagudi in Bangalore was overrun by 40 cows and bulls having a shot at Ms. Cutie and Mr. Hunk at a fashion show organised by a local radio station on Tuesday. The show was organised to celebrate Makara Sankranti in a different manner allowing the owners of the livestock to parade their much-prized possessions. Fourteen-year-old Lakshmi Bai and 11-year-old Sagaran, who accompanied their parents, were very excited at the prospect of winning. This was evident at the amount of time and effort they had together put into decorating their beloved cow Gowri, who was dressed in a green sari, topped by an intricately plaited tail. Sanju, all of eight, confidently announced: “Sanika my cow has been decorated by my sister and mother, will surely win.” Eventually, the Mr. Hunk title went to the bull owned by Satyabama Krishna while the winsome bovine from Poornima Milk Dairy’s stable trotted away with the Ms. Cutie title.
