KOZHIKODE: ‘Thaniye’ directed by Babu Thiruvalla has been selected for the award instituted by Ala (Amateur Little Cinema) for films by new generation directors. Nedumudi Venu bagged the ‘Prathiba Puraskaram’ award for his performance in ‘Thaniye.’ Vinu Mohan was adjudged the best actor and Bhama bagged the ‘best actress’ award for their roles in ‘Nivedyam.’ The Chalachitra Prathiba Pursakaram was awarded to director Lohitadas.
