GULBARGA: Former chairperson of the State Women’s Commission Pramila Nesargi has been selected for the “Kannada Veera” award presented annually by the Kannada Sainya to those who contributed for Kannada and Karnataka. According to the State unit president of the sainya Somnath Kattimani, along with Ms. Nesargi, freedom fighter Buddhivanta Shetty and Bangalore-based advocate M.S. Devaraj have also been selected for the award this year. The award will be presented here on Saturday. He said that former MLA Anil Laad would inaugurate the award presentation ceremony. Totedra Shivacharya Swamiji of Korisiddeshwar Math will attend. Shivahogi Murugarajendra Mahaswamy of Jidga Math will release a souvenir.
