PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry police on the ‘Pongal’ day launched a week-long ‘Lock Mela’ to create awareness of using locks among vehicle-users, particularly two-wheeler riders. Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Chhaya Sharma inaugurated the exhibition-cum-sale of locks near Gandhi Thidal on the Beach Road. The police roped in several manufactures to exhibit various locks with safety mechanism available in the market.
