Alleged RDX supplier arrested

Ludhiana: A man who had allegedly supplied RDX to Sikh terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) activists has been arrested in Rajasthan.

The arrest of Mohd. Ali follows the identification by Gurpreet Singh, a main accused in a cinema hall blast here, who had accompanied police to his village in Rajasthan.

SSP, Ludhiana, RK Jaiswal told mediapersons here that Ali was arrested from his village Sadrau in Jaisalmer district.

He said 52-year-old Ali told his interrogators that he had supplied 22 kg of RDX to BKI terrorists in the last five-six months.

RDX recovered

The SSP said 19 kg of RDX out of that had already been recovered.

He has not revealed the name from whom Ali received this huge quantity of RDX, Mr. Jaiswal said.

However, the main source of supply of RDX was Pakistan, he said.

In reply to a question, Mr. Jaiswal said Ali was a smuggler and a regular visitor to Pakistan. -- PTI
