TRS legislators meet Congress leaders

HYDERABAD: A group of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) legislators called on the Congress leaders on Wednesday seeking their support for the ongoing cause of a separate Telangana State.

Hours after the TRS president announced his party’s decision to ask the legislators and MPs to quit their seats if the Congress government failed to announce a decision in favour of Telangana, TRS MLAs T. Harish Rao, E. Ravinder Reddy and MLC R. Satyanarayana, called on the Telangana Regional Development Board chairman, V. Purushottam Reddy. Sources said the senior Congress leader, who had also said he would not hesitate to resign, appreciated the decision.
