Tata inducts 80 more trainees at Singur

Kolkata: Tata Motors has inducted 80 persons as apprentices at its Singur plant as per a memorandum of understanding signed among the company, the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation and the Department of Technical Education and Training. A company release said the batch comprised youth from villages around Singur and also others who had undergone training programme at local industrial training institutes and later taken a trade test. They would now undergo a 15-month hands-on training at the company’s facilities. Thereafter, they would undertake another trade test.
